Welcome to the Omaha Wireless Group

The Omaha Wireless Group (OWG) is made up of a group of researchers and students from the University of Nebraska's The Peter Kiewit Institute. The Omaha Wireless Group began as an extension of a research project, at the University of Nebraska at Omaha's College of Information Science and Technology, aimed at diminishing the "digital divide." OWG has added access to UNO, Elmwood Park, Washington Library, and Rosenblatt Stadium, with more to come.

To use Omaha Wireless in one of our hotspots, set your SSID to "Omaha Wireless". If your laptop automatically detects wireless signals, simply choose it from the list. For questions, please send an email to owg_webmaster@ist.unomaha.edu.
