Omaha Wireless Coverage at Washington Library

The Charles B. Washington Library is a branch of the Omaha Public Library system, and is located at 2868 Ames Avenue. The building recently underwent a fantastic renovation inside and out. New computers were added, along with a unique area called 'the spot', which was specifically designed to for teens. One thing missing however was wireless Internet connectivity.

Covering the Library

We met with staff from the Omaha public library and Douglass County to discuss covering the library. It was determined that a Cisco 1300 access point placed in the center of the library would provide sufficient coverage for the entire building. Using Cisco allows compatibility with Douglass County's existing backbone network, which will make both management and security a breeze.

We successfully installed the access point and coverage is strong in every part of the library.
